On November 10, 2025, a car bomb went off close to Delhi's Red Fort, killing 8 persons. Around 5:30 PM, a white Hyundai i20 exploded at a traffic light close to Lal Qila Metro Station, injuring many people. PM Modi promised justice and denounced the assault. The NIA is looking into this under anti-terror legislation. The vehicle's fictitious license plates indicated a premeditated assault. Families were compensated ₹10 lakh.
