When the Graft mechanic arrives, farming graftblood can feel slow at first. The fastest players do not grind blindly. They pick the right breaches and they move in with a plan. Start by hunting Fortified Breaches when you can. These fights give the best returns if you handle them correctly. Look for the Fortified marker and enter with a fast clear build. Treat each Fortified Breach as a short mission with two clear goals: break the defense and kill the central boss PoE 1 Currency.
In Fortified Breaches, deal with the Breachlings first. The Breachlings hold the Breach’s defenses together, so clear them quickly. Use wide hits and movement skills to reach clusters of Breachlings and remove them before the timer forces you to rush. Do not waste long on rares or stray monsters while Breachlings remain. When the Breachlings fall, the encounter becomes much easier. Clearing the small targets first lowers the whole defense and lets you focus on the main source of graftblood without losing time.
After the surrounding threats are down, focus on the Isith boss or the central enemy. The boss pays out most of the graftblood you need for a summon. Move to the center and use single-target bursts or Vaal abilities to burn the boss fast. If your build has a burst window, use it here rather than saving it for trash. The timer in Fortified Breaches is short, so killing the boss in that window will net you far more graftblood than slowly finishing off every mob. Prioritize the boss once the Breachlings are down.
Clear speed matters more than raw toughness in these fights. A high clear-speed build will run multiple breaches in the same time a slow build runs one. Pick movement skills like Flame Dash, Frostblink, or fast Whirling Blades to jump between packs. Pick AoE skills with good coverage to cut through Breachlings in one pass. If you can clear the screen before the Breach timer drops you, you will collect graftblood much faster and trigger bosses more often. Farming with speed compounds: every minute saved becomes more graftblood over an hour.
Farming fast also improves your in-game economy. Quick Isith kills drop more splinters and more uniques over time. Those drops can be traded or sold and they feed your map progression. Hold back a small stock of trade items and target buys so you can patch gaps when a needed map or item does not drop. Keep a modest reserve of PoE 1 Currency buy to buy maps, pay for Kirac options, or trade for a missing component. This keeps your farming loop smooth and reduces pauses that slow your overall graftblood income.
Make mission choices that keep your runs tight. Run Fortified when the map offers a clear path to the Breach site. Use flasks and quick utility to skip long trash waves. Pick maps and modifiers that favor movement and AoE rather than slow single target fights. Check vendors and Kirac after missions so you can buy a missing map instead of hunting it for hours.
