Bacteriostatic Water for Injection, USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic preparation intended for use as a diluent or solvent for medications that require dilution or dissolution in an aqueous vehicle prior to injection. This product is supplied in a convenient 30 mL multi-dose vial and contains benzyl alcohol as a bacteriostatic preservative.
The product is designed for use only in accordance with the instructions and compatibility requirements of the medication being prepared. It should be inspected before use and used only when the solution is clear and the container closure is intact and undamaged. Bacteriostatic Water for Injection containing benzyl alcohol is not intended for use in neonates.
