We are Operation 85, a volunteer-driven effort to find 85 or more unidentified U.S.S. Arizona crew members. With the help of thousands of families and advocates, what started as a modest but tenacious endeavor by four volunteers has expanded into a national mission. In order to address a historical omission and provide closure to those whose service and sacrifice go unacknowledged, our team combines genealogy, forensic DNA, research, and family outreach. Operation 85 functions independently of all government agencies and is privately funded.
