Schools all across North Carolina use NCEDCloud to connect students, teachers, and staff with the digital tools they need every day. Instead of memorizing a long list of usernames and passwords, NCEDCloud gives you one login that works across different systems.
If you’re new to all this, here’s everything you need to know to get started.
What Exactly is NCEDCloud?
Think of NCEDCloud as a key. With that key, you unlock a portal that gets you to the big apps like PowerSchool, Canvas, and your Google or Microsoft accounts. Once you sign in, you won’t have to keep typing your login for every toolthe system handles that for you.
Getting Started: What You’ll Need
Before you log in, make sure you’ve got:
Your username students usually use their Student ID, while staff use their Employee ID.
Your password is either the one you created during setup or the one your school gave you.
It's a device that's hooked up to the internet.
How to Log in to NCEDCloud
Open a browser and go to my.ncedcloud.org.
Just type your username and password into the fields.
If you’re signing in for the first time, the system will have you pick some security questions. They’re there to help you get back in if you ever forget your password.
Once you’re logged in, you’ll land on a dashboard full of app icons. Just click one, and you’ll go straight into that app without needing another password.
What You Can Access with NCEDCloud
PowerSchool – you can check your grades, schedules, and attendance.
Canvas – see your assignments, turn in your work, and get in touch with your teachers.
Google Workspace or Microsoft 365you can create and share documents, slides, and more.

Make sure you log out after every session if you’re on a public or school computer.
